Facilities - what's on offer
Thanks to a major refurbishment in 2019, B12 Urban Village Hall has been expertly renovated to satisfy the highest of modern standards, making the hall a really versatile and accessible space. We are grateful for the kind provision of funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, The Garfield Weston Foundation and The Veolia Environmental Trust and others, which made all this possible.
The Hall

There is a maximum capacity of 100 people, 80 if seated. Despite the large size, the hall feels cosy, and small groups are equally suited to the space. The original parquet floor of the old school has been refurbished and is suitable for all uses. The hall is fitted with new black-out curtains to allow optimum use of the projector and screen. There is full wheelchair access via an outside ramp, and lift to the stage, and both brand new disabled, and baby changing facilities have been installed. Thick insulation, new double glazing and a hot air heating system, means the hall is kept warm and cosy, and in the most environmentally friendly and sustainable way.

Stage

We have a fully equipped stage, with state of the art lighting and media equipment, large projector and screen, and disabled access lift. This is perfect for training, presentations, film screenings, presentations and media events. We have a blue-tooth microphone if you wish to hire it. The whole room is flanked by new stylish high windows which make the most of the natural light. There are a number of lighting options in the hall, including some subtle inbuilt uplighters that really bring a calm atmosphere when daylight begins to fade.

KitchenWe offer a service kitchen with 2 serving hatches, moveable counters, great counter space, three sinks, a hot plate and a small fridge. (We are not suitable for use for extensive cooking).
For hirers using a catering company there is the possibility to use the gas cooker, gas and electric ovens. Subject to B12 approval and additional charges. |

Car Parking
Hall users have access to a sizeable car park on site. This is accessed from the Mary Street entrance. Look for the yellow & black illuminated sign ‘B12 Urban Village Hall’. The car park is shared with other onsite buildings; therefore availability can depend on time of hire.
Flexible
We love our hall and we hope you do too. It’s a bright, warm and cosy, tranquil space. The hall can be used for a variety or purposes as it's such a flexible space. It is perfect for; relaxing yoga classes, presentations, small music events, corporate training, meetings, social and community groups, charity events, children's birthday parties and family gatherings. We can provide; tables, chairs, projector & screen, stage lighting, blue-tooth sound system and a kitchen. Our max capacity is 80 seated and 100 standing. (Please note it is an alcohol free zone).
